Hartford Man Convicted of Sexually Assaulting Ex-Girlfriend's 9-Year-Old Daughter: State A Connecticut man was found guilty of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl, prosecutors announced on Wednesday, Feb. 19.  Noel Martinez, 35, was convicted on two counts of first-degree sexual assault, illegal sexual contact with a victim under 16, and risk of injury to a minor, according to Hartford Judicial District State’s Attorney Sharmese L. 'This Is Disgusting': Community Fumes After Pregnant Dog, 6 Pups Left To Die In East Hartford As news leaked about an in-labor dog left to die in a Connecticut parking lot, snuffing out her life and the lives of her six puppies, the reaction from the community has been overwhelming.  The French bulldog mix was found on Dec. 19 at 8 Turtle Creek Lane in East Hartford. She was in active labor and struggling to breathe, and she died before emergency veterinarians could help her.  East Hartford police said on Monday, Jan. 6, no arrests had been made and there were new updates to the story.
