Woman Struck, Killed By Car In Fairfield County
A local woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in Fairfield County.
It happened just after 5 p.m., Nov. 20 in Trumbull.
The pedestrian, Lisa Cimmino, age 57, of Trumbull, was walking on Canoe Brook Road near Madison Avenue when she was struck by the vehicle, causing serious life-threatening injuries, Trumbull Police said.
A sedan traveling on Canoe Brook Road struck the victim, and immediately came to a stop a short distance away, according to police.

Man Faces DUI, Other Charges After Low-Speed Chase In Fairfield County
An intoxicated 56-year-old man led police on an inching chase, frequently stopping in the middle of the travel lane and motioning for pursuing officers, their lights flashing, to pass him, police said.
Tony Barr of Bridgeport, 56, reportedly caught the attention of Monroe police officers on Saturday, Sept. 12 with an equipment violation, and maintained that attention by swerving between lanes.

Two Connecticut residents are facing charges for an alleged elaborate counterfeiting operation that expanded into New York.
An investigation was launched by the Monroe Police Department in February when an area resident purchased a motor vehicle with a fraudulent title.
An extensive, multi-agency investigation was launched, which led them to identify Krista Karch and Orlando Dominguez, both residents of Essex, Connecticut, in Middlesex County, as possible suspects.

Couple Charged With Faking Burglary To Steal Shotgun, Police Say
A Fairfield County man and woman were arrested for allegedly faking a burglary in order to steal a shotgun from a home.
Sean Smith, 27, of Danbury, and Kathryn Lewis, 26, of Monroe, turned themselves in to the Monroe Police Department on Monday, March 16, for the incident which took place in October 2019, said Monroe Police Lt. Stephen Corrone.
