Cuomo Ordered To Return More Than $5M From Covid-19 Leadership Book Embattled former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is going down swinging after an ethics commission ordered him to pay back proceeds that he made writing his book about COVID-19 leadership during the pandemic. The Joint Commission on Public Ethics (JCOPE) has voted to require Cuomo to return proceeds from his book “American Crisis,” for which he was paid more than $5 million by his publisher.
