'Mechanical Malfunction' Sends Teen To Hospital After Crashing Bike Into Car In Putnam
A 15-year-old bicyclist was hospitalized after a crash involving a car in Connecticut earlier this week, police said. The teen was riding a bicycle along Church Street near Morse Street in Putnam around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, when it veered off the sidewalk and crashed into a 2020 Toyota Camry following a "mechanical malfunction," police said. Paramedics took the teen to Day Kimball Hospital for minor injuries, Putnam Police said. Teen In Critical Condition, 16-Year-Old Shot In 'Domestic' Attack: Police
A 16-year-old Connecticut girl is in critical condition following an early morning shooting Tuesday, Sept. 17, authorities said. Police were called to a Hartford County home around 12:30 a.m. to reports of a shooting in Hartford. The address wasn't released to protect the victim as investigators believe this is a "domestic-related" attack. Hartford police found the girl suffering from a bullet wound. CT Man ID'd As Victim In Fatal Motorcycle Crash
A Connecticut motorcyclist was hit and killed over the weekend, and police are asking to speak with witnesses. Fairfield County resident Dwight Clifford St. John, of Norwalk, was hit on Saturday, Sept. 14, just after 5:30 p.m., Norwalk Police said. A vehicle struck St. John near the intersection of Winfield Street and Pequot Drive. A Connecticut couple said they were attacked with a baseball bat, tied up with duct tape, and kidnapped by six men who carjacked them in broad daylight, authorities said. Police in Danbury in Fairfield County on Sunday, Aug. 25, were called to Clapboard Ridge Road, near the intersection of East Gate Road, where witnesses said a group of people were beating up a man and were shoving him and a woman into a white van, the US Attorney General for Connecticut said. A Connecticut man is accused of drunkenly crashing into a police cruiser and sending the officer to the hospital Saturday night, Aug. 24 in Fairfield County, authorities said.
