Man Wanted For Allegedly Killing Girlfriend In Fairfield County Found Dead From Suicide
A Fairfield County man considered armed and dangerous who was wanted for the alleged murder of his girlfriend was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Tennessee, following a standoff with police.
The standoff with Glenn Pettway, age 28, of Bridgeport, took place in Jackson, Tennessee on Wednesday, June 1, and Thursday, June 2.
Police were led to Pettway after receiving an anonymous tip that he was hiding out at a location in Jackson, said Capt. Kevin Gilleran, of the Bridgeport Police.

Missing Fairfield County Teen Found In NYC
A 14-year-old girl Fairfield County girl who has been missing for almost two months has been found safe.
Jayleen Burgos, of Bridgeport, who had been missing since Wednesday, March 30, has been located in New York City, safe, and reunited with her family, said Capt. Kevin Gilleran, of the Bridgeport Police.
"There is no doubt that your media coverage, and the work of our law enforcement partners in both NY and CT, brought this case to a close," Gilleran said.

Police Asking For Help Locating Fairfield County Girl Missing For Weeks
Police are asking the public for help locating a 14-year-old girl who has been missing for weeks.
Jayleen Burgos, age 13, of Bridgeport, a recurrent runaway has been missing since Wednesday, March 30, said Capt. Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport Police.
Jayleen is described as being 5-foot-1, 130 pounds with brown hair and eyes.
"Although there is periodic telephone contact between Jayleen and her family, Jayleen remains a missing person," Gilleran said.

An 11-month-old girl who was abducted in Fairfield County allegedly by her father has been found safe.
Jalayjah Douglas, of New Haven, who was "kidnapped" by her father on Friday, April 8 in Bridgeport, was found safe on the west side of the city on Saturday, April 9, said Capt. Kevin Gilleran, of the Bridgeport Police.
The child, currently in foster care, was visiting the Bridgeport area when her biological father, identified as James Lamont Douglas, age 30, of Bridgeport "decided to take his daughter from the legal guardian without permission or the legal right to do so," Gilleran said.

Fairfield County Man Nabbed For Murder Of Another Man Following Fight, Police Say
A Fairfield County man has been charged with shooting and killing another man following a fight at an area bar.
Tivon Taylor, age 40, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Monday, March 28, for fatally shooting Fredrick Shelby on Friday, March 18.
Following an investigation, Captain Kevin Gilleran, of the Bridgeport Police, said Taylor followed Shelby, age 43, of Bridgeport, out of Tae’s Lounge, located at 1014 Stratford Ave., after the two men exchanged words inside.
Taylor then allegedly shot Shelby multiple times before walking away, Gilleran said.
