Man Accused Of Abusing Child On School Bus In Darien A Fairfield County man has been charged with assault and risk of injury to a child after he was seen on video biting, licking, and hitting a young boy on a school bus. Juan Carlos Rodriguez, age 27, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Monday, June 17, by Darien Police for the incident that occurred in April on a school bus. School Bus Catches Fire In Bridgeport All people aboard a Fairfield County school bus were able to get off safely when the vehicle caught fire. The fire occurred in Bridgeport around 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 4, at Jones Avenue and Oak Street. According to Tiadora Josef, the Bridgeport Fire Department spokeswoman, the first responding units confirmed the bus was engulfed in flames. "Everyone was off the bus when units responded," she said.
