Remains Found In CT ID'd As Missing 33-Year-Old Woman Authorities have identified the skeletal remains found in Thompson last year as those of a missing 33-year-old woman from Plainfield, according to police. On Saturday, May 31, Plainfield police confirmed that Alicia Balderston's remains had been identified.  Her body was discovered in October 2024 after her family reported her missing in March 2023. She was last known to be staying at the Elite Inn in Plainfield, police said. Balderston’s family and friends had continually sought public help since her disappearance. Christmas Day CT Hit, Run Crash Sends Victim To Hospital In Critical Condition Investigators in Connecticut are asking for the public's help to track down a car that they believe crashed into someone walking along the side of the road on Christmas, severely injuring them, and did not stop, authorities said.  The crash happened just before 7:45 p.m. in front of 26 Lake Ave. in Danbury, authorities said. The victim was left lying on the side of the road with severe but non-life-threatening injuries. Beagle Left Nearly Dead On Western Mass Roadside; Police Looking For Truck That Abandoned Her A beagle nicknamed Bagel was abandoned on a Hampshire County roadside last month, suffering from a battery of severe health problems and covered in feces. Police are now asking for the public's help to find the person who left her there.  Bagel was dropped off near a Tractor Supply Company in Belchertown on July 2. The 2-year-old was covered in excrement, had mange, a double ear inflection, cheery eyes, and infections in her paws. She had also had puppies at some point.
