A 22-year-old New York man faces charges after stealing more than $11,000 worth of merchandise from a Connecticut store and leading authorities on pursuits in two states, police announced. As the result of a weeks-long investigation that included a search warrant execution at an inn, a 28-year-old man faces robbery charges for robbing a Connecticut bank, police announced. Hartford County resident Matthew Kevorkian was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 2 in connection with a December robbery at a Webster Bank location in Berlin at 40 Webster Square Rd., Berlin Police announced. A 30-year-old man has been accused of robbing a Connecticut gas station at gunpoint. The incident happened at about 4:50 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 14, in New London County at the Petro Max gas station in Griswold, located at 136 Preston Road, according to Connecticut State Police. Police said Michael Riegel, a resident of Preston in New London County, was arrested on Tuesday, April 5. A 40-year-old man was arrested and accused of taking part in a scheme to scam a Fairfield County couple out of $8,900.Kylo Simons, of Hartford, was arrested at 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23, according to Connecticut State Police.
