The Connecticut Office of Inspector General released its preliminary findings in a fatal officer-involved shooting last week and found that the suspect fired at police first. Jebrell Conley, 36, was shot and killed on Thursday, Sept. 19, at a West Haven car wash on Boston Road. The New Haven Police Department's Violent Crime Task Force went to arrest Conley around 5 p.m. on an outstanding robbery warrant. Police in Fairfield County fatally shot a suspect allegedly involved in weapons and narcotics who fled from officers and took them on a police chase. An active, "complex" investigation is underway for an officer-involved shooting, officials say. A Connecticut state trooper assigned to assist in a court-ordered eviction of a tenant, who lived in the small Windham County town of Brooklyn, shot and injured the tenant on Tuesday, May 9 at approximately 9:35 a.m., according to the Connecticut State Police. Police in Western Massachusetts are investigating following an officer-involved shooting that left one shot and a police officer injured.
