The incident took place in Danbury around 5:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 10 at the Stop & Shop on Newtown Road. 13 Residents Displaced After Danbury Fire Thirteen people have been displaced following a fire at a two-and-half-story residential building in Danbury. Firefighters responded to the fire just after 10:30 p.m., Monday, May 15 after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a structure fire on Main Street, said Capt. Kevin Lunnie, of the Danbury Fire Department. The first arriving units found heavy fire conditions in the rear of the building. Separate Three-Alarm Fires Break Out At Residences In Fairfield County Town Firefighters in one Fairfield County town were kept busy over a 12-hour period with a pair of three-alarm fires.
