Officers Rescue Two CT Women From Burning House, Police Say Two Connecticut women were rescued from their burning home as flames surrounded them. The fire took place around 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 15, in New Haven County at a home on Spring Street in Ansonia. According to Lieutenant Patrick Lynch, of the Ansonia Police Department, the department received a call from a resident on Spring Street reporting her house was on fire and she was trapped.  The first two officers on the scene, Sgt. Two Rescued After Apartment Fire Breaks Out In Region Two people were rescued from a third-floor apartment in Western Massachusetts during a two-alarm fire. The fire started around 3 a.m., Monday, Dec. 27 in Springfield at 858 Belmont Ave. Springfield Fire Department officials said two people were rescued from the third floor using ladders. One of those rescued was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, another was treated at the scene, the department said. Firefighters had the fire under control in about an hour. The Springfield Arson and Bomb Squad is currently investigating.

The fire started around 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 5, at 1130 Williams St. in Bridgeport, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management for Bridgeport. According to Appleby, the first arriving units reported fire on the second floor which had extended to the third floor.
