WILTON, Conn. -- The Wilton 7th grade girls team, sponsored by Tavern on 7 Bar and Grill, had an exciting weekend win at home against Westport.
The Lady Warriors' aggressive defense proved too much for Westport as it scored at 38-33 victory.
Zara West and Francesca Gonclaves had strong rebounding, and great shots by Sophie Sudano and Zoe Rappaport kept the game close. Nancy Lynch and Paula Perez also contributed to the offense and had great ball handling.
Wilton continued to get rebounds by Ashleigh Coltman and Anna Breen to stay in the game. Taylor Lamantia and Brynn Burke moved the ball well and had solid rebounding.
Sunday’s close game was a disappointing loss against undefeated Ridgefield.
