Wilton Woman Paces Age Group in New York Race

WILTON, Conn. – Wilton runner Elizabeth Craig won her age group Sunday in the New York Road Runners Gridiron Classic in Central Park.

Craig completed the 4-mile distance in 30:46 to win the women’s 55-59 division and outpace the second-place finisher by over a minute.

Craig was one of several members of the Waveny Running Club to participate in the race, which featured 6,064 runners. Dorothy Williams and Peggy Flood, who also run out of Waveny, also finished in the top 10 in their age groups, as did Darien’s Lissa Short.
