Wilton Wahoos Youngest Swimmers Among Top Finishes

WILTON, Conn. – Seven- and eight-year-old swimmers in the Wilton Wahoos program competed in an 8-and-under competition last weekend in New Haven.

In the seven-year-old division, Whitney Hess came in first place in the freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and the breaststroke. Anya Iyer placed second in freestyle and backstroke and fourth in butterfly and breaststroke.

Dev Madhavani received a first place in butterfly, second place in backstroke and breaststroke and third place in freestyle. Justin Lewis came in first in breaststroke, sixth in butterfly and seventh in backstroke and freestyle.

Wilton’s 8-year-old swimmers also swam well. Emily Bukowski came in second in freestyle, first in breaststroke and fifth in butterfly. Nina Behar placed ninth in freestyle and Carolyn Hendricks placed fifth in breaststroke. Anjo Therattil received a third place in butterfly.
