WILTON, Conn. The Wilton Y Masters team came in sixth place in the combined women's and men's scores in the 2012 Masters Short Course YMCA Nationals last month in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The women's team came in third, and the men's team came in eighth.
Jim Lewis, in his third year at this event, competed on the freestyle leg of the men's 45-and-over 200 medley relay, which won a gold medal. He also placed third in the men's 45-49 100 backstroke, sixth in the 50 free and 100 individual medley and eighth in the 50 fly.
Pete Holmquist, in his first year competing in this event, was a member of the 45-and-over 400 free relay that came in first. He also won gold medals in the 45-49 100 back and placed fourth in the 50 free and 100 individual medley.
