Wilton Girls Tennis Team Wins State Championship Title

WILTON, Conn. – The Wilton High School girls varsity tennis team won the 2013 Class M Girls Tennis Tournament after defeating RHAM High School, 6-1, in Friday’s championship game at the Yale Tennis Center in New Haven.

This was the first championship win for the Warriors since 1997. At the start of the tournament, the team was ranked seventh.

Five members of the team qualified to play in the Individual Open Tournament at Yale, which began Monday and runs through Wednesday.
