Wilton Boys Lacrosse Aims to Defend State Title

WILTON, Conn. — After three straight years of being eliminated by Darien High, the Wilton High boys lacrosse team finally knocked the Blue Wave from its perch last year. After defeating Darien in the state semifinals, the Warriors crushed New Canaan in the finals to win their first state championship since 2004.

In the video, head coach John Wiseman reflects on the title run and what it will take for the Warriors to defend the title. Many of the key players from last year's team return, and Wiseman hopes they will bring their teammates together.

Wilton opens its 2012 campaign at home in a rematch of last year's state final. The Warriors host New Canaan on April 5 at 7 p.m.
