WILTON, Conn. The Wilton High girls varsity lacrosse team will have its third head coach in as many years this season but don't expect the Warriors to miss a beat. Last season, Wilton defeated Darien for its third conference title in four years and finished with an 18-2 record under outgoing head coach Caitlin Jackson.
Meredith Meyran, who was Jackson's assistant coach last season, steps up to the head coaching spot this year. In the video, Meyran discusses what it's like to take over a championship-calibre team with explosive goal-scorers such as Casey Pearsall, Tegan Helms and Meaghan Boepple, among others.
Wilton begins its 2012 campaign Wednesday with a 7 p.m. game at Danbury. The Warriors host their first home game Saturday at 11 a.m. vs. Fairfield Ludlowe.
