WILTON, Conn. After months of preparation and going through several rounds of challenging quizzes, five Wilton teens came out on top in a state competition.
The Wilton High School Challenge team took first prize in the Connecticut Championship of MSG Varsitys regional quiz show, The Challenge.
By winning the Connecticut portion of the event, the team won Wilton High School a $2,500 prize. The team also qualified for the tri-state playoffs, where they will go up against the six other regional champions from New York and New Jersey.
The team consists of William Jankowski, Mohsin Jawed, Captain Simon Brewer, Molly Hoch and alternate Jake Jankowski.
On June 6 at 6:30 p.m. on Cablevision Channel 14, the final challenges begin for the ultimate prize for $10,000 for the school.
Challenge match-up can been seen every Sunday through Friday at 6:30 p.m. on MSG Varsity, Cablevision Channel 14.
