Wilton To Host Disaster Preparedness Training Course

WILTON, Conn. -- Wilton’s Community Emergency Response Team is offering local residents a chance to join their annual disaster preparedness training course starting Oct. 23.

The interactive training course teaches emergency and survival skills, where participants will learn how to protect themselves and their families in the event of a fire, large-scale emergency, or weather disaster.

After completion of the six session training course, participants will be invited to join Wilton Community Emergency Response Team.

The response team helps support Wilton’s Fire & Police Departments, assists in traffic control, operating the town’s emergency shelter, and distributing emergency supplies when needed.
