Wilton Police: Shoplifting Suspect Shoved Parkas Into His Pants

WILTON, Conn. -- The manager of a Wilton store reported that a man shoplifted winter jackets from the store by stuffing them in his pants, police said. 

The jackets, stolen on Oct. 1, are worth a total of $1,784, police said.

The jackets were stolen off a display rack in the Outdoor Sports Center, the manager told police. The manager saw the theft on a store video, police said. 

The suspect was described as a black man, about 30 years old with short hair and average height and build, police said.

The suspect may have left in a gray SUV with New York license plates, police said.  

The three stolen jackets are:

  • A red Canada goose Kensington parka
  • A black Canada goose Hybridge Lite jacket 
  • A black Canada goose camp hooded jacket
