WILTON, Conn. – A 19-year-old Stamford man arrested in Wilton on Saturday faces larceny and drug possession charges after he was found with stolen jewelry and marijuana, police said.
The man was arrested after police received a call about a suspicious person in the area of Thunder Lake Road and Indian Hill Road, the police report said. The teen was found in possession of jewelry believed to have been stolen from a larceny in Weston, a bottle of whiskey, marijuana and bath salts, a synthetic drug, the police report said.
The jewelry items retrieved included a thin broken 10-karat gold chain about 7 inches long; a gold-colored chain that measures about 18 inches long; and a gold colored anklet designed with a heart and the words “Love you,” police said.
The man was charged with sixth-degree larceny, possession of alcohol by a minor and possession of a controlled substance, all misdemeanors. He was held on $2,500 bond and is set to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on March 26.
