Wilton Police Investigate Overnight Burglary

WILTON, Conn. – At least one person forcibly entered a Valeview Road home at about 2:50 a.m. Monday while the family was sleeping inside, Wilton police said.

A Norwalk K-9 officer was used to search for a suspect, Wilton police said. It led them to a nearby driveway, which was empty.

Several items were taken from the Valeview Road home, police said. Wilton police Capt. John Lynch did not detail what was taken and did not have a value for the missing items.

Two vehicles at a neighboring residence were also entered, though nothing was taken from either vehicle, police said.

The following incidents were also reported to Wilton Police:

• A 17-year-old Wilton boy was seen by a local store employee spray-painting graffiti on a fence outside stores on Danbury Road last Tuesday, police said. He was charged with second-degree criminal mischief and criminal trespass. The boy was released and is scheduled to appear Wednesday in Norwalk Superior Court.

• A missing wallet was found in the area of the Wilton Police Department last Wednesday. When James McArdle, 18, of 21 Roxbury Lane, identified the wallet as his, police said they found a fake Maryland driver’s license inside. McArdle was charged with third-degree forgery. He was released and is scheduled to appear Monday in Norwalk Superior Court.

• Police stopped Daniel Guadian, 31, at about 11:06 a.m. last Thursday at Chestnut Hill Road and Spoonwood Road after his registration was found to have expired in June 2011. Guadian could not produce a valid insurance card and told officers that his license had been suspended, police said. Guadian, of Lexington Avenue, Norwalk, was charged with driving with a suspended license, driving an unregistered motor vehicle and driving without insurance. This was Guadian’s fourth stop for driving an unregistered vehicle, police said. He was released on $250 bond and is scheduled to appear Monday in Norwalk Superior Court.
