Wilton Man Charged, Firearm Seized After Threat To Kill Victim, Police Say

A man from Wilton had his firearm seized and is facing charges after allegedly making a death threat, police say.

The victim arrived at Wilton Police Headquarters on Saturday, Feb 23 around 6 p.m. to report that 64-year-old Marcelino Alberto Castillo had threatened to kill him.

An investigation was initiated, and police established probable cause. With this information, Castillo was arrested and charged with first-degree threatening. A firearm was also seized from his residence.

Castillo was being held on $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Monday, Feb. 25.
