WILTON, Conn. – A Wilton insurance agent is accused of stealing more than $12,000 from one of his clients and now faces a felony charge, police said.
Phillip Miller, 58, of Drum Hill Road, received $12,333 from a client as payment for insurance premiums, police said. However, the money was never used to pay the premiums and as a result, the client’s insurance coverage was canceled without his knowledge, police said.
Miller never returned the funds to the client, police said.
Miller was arrested Monday morning and charged with second-degree larceny. He was held on $15,000 bond and arraigned in Norwalk Superior Court later that day.
