Wilton Fire Damages Home, Causes Road Closures

WILTON, Conn. -- A fire in Wilton caused damage to a house and forced a portion of Belden Hill Road to be shut down Monday morning, according to the Wilton Bulletin.

The fire was reported at 8:30 a.m., with responders from Westport, New Canaan and Weston on the scene and Ridgefield covering the fire headquarters, the Wilton Bulletin reported. 

Crews extinguished the blaze within 15 minutes and saved the homeowner's pet cat, the Bulletin said  

The cause was still under investigation, the Wilton Bulletin said.
