Police: Wilton Teen Had Marijuana In Car At High School

WILTON, Conn. – A 17-year-old student at Wilton High School was charged with possession of marijuana last week after marijuana was found inside his car, police said.

At about 4:15 p.m. last Wednesday, school administrators called police after discovering a small amount of marijuana in the student’s car, which was parked on school property, police said.

The student, who was not identified due to his age, was charged with possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana, an infraction. The student is scheduled to appear in juvenile court on June 18.

? Wilton resident Daniel Tazzioli, of Pimpewaug Road, was charged with drunken driving last week. Just before 1 a.m. last Wednesday, an officer spotted a car swerving on Cannon Road near Pimpewaug Road, police said.

When stopped, the driver— identified as 25-year-old Tazzioli—smelled of alcohol, police said. Tazzioli failed field sobriety tests and was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive in an established lane. He was released on a promise to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on June 20.

? Jewelry and silverware were reported stolen from a home on Cardinal Lane last Thursday afternoon, police said. The burglary is believed to have occurred between June 1 and 6, while the home was unoccupied, police said. Forced entry was made into the home, police said, and the incident remained under investigation.
