WILTON, Conn. A Branford woman was charged by the Wilton Police Department in connection with a recent rash of CVS and pharmacy thefts.
Kimberley Steeves, 36, was turned over to Wilton police by the West Haven Police Department and was charged with larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny in the fifth degree. Wilton police said they identified Steeves through video surveillance at the CVS on Old Ridgefield Road and currently are looking for a male accomplice.
Louis Masselli, of West Haven, was charged Monday with a similar theft in May at the Wilton CVS.
According to the report, there have been similar thefts at pharmacies around the state. Police suspect the strips are being stolen to be re-sold at below retail prices at tag sales and other places.
Steeves was held on a $10,000 bond and was brought to court June 6.
