Police investigators are attempting to track down the suspects who went on a criminal mischief spree that included the burning of American flags.
On Monday, July 8, police investigators in Ridgefield received reports of smashed car windows, damaged mailboxes and burned American flags throughout the town.
Damaged cars, mailboxes, and flags were found on Barrack Hill Road, Golf Lane, Armand Place, Walnut Hill Road, and Pin Pack Road.
Police said that witnesses described the suspect’s vehicle as being a gray Jeep Wrangler. One of the suspects involved reportedly may have had dark hair, the other blond curly hair.
According to police, officers have interviewed victims and witnesses, canvassed the area, researched similar vehicles to those observed by witnesses, and examined photos and surveillance video.
“At this time no probable cause has been developed, but we are not giving up,” investigators noted.
Anyone with information regarding any of the incidents has been asked to contact the Ridgefield Police Department by calling (203) 438-6531.
