Police Investigating After Person Found Shot In Fairfield County

The shooting took place around 10:20 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 26, when Norwalk Police received multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots in the area of West Cedar Street and Prince Avenue.

According to Sgt. Sofia Gulino, of the Norwalk Police, a heavy response of police officers rushed to the area. A gunshot victim was located and transported to Norwalk Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Gulino declined to say if the victim was a man or a woman.

Shell casings were located in the immediate area. 

The victim has since been released from the hospital, Gulino said.

The investigation is active at this time.
