The fire was first reported at 12:30 p.m. and firefighters had most of it knocked down by 12:46 p.m., according to the Wilton Bulletin. The road was closed while firefighters tended to the rest of the fire, and was re-opened at around 3:15 p.m., the Wilton Bulletin reported.
Two dogs were rescued from the fire, but no humans were home when it broke out, the Wilton Bulletin reported. Firefighters from Georgetown, Westport, Weston and New Canaan provided mutual aid, according to the Wilton Bulletin.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to the Wilton Bulletin.
