New Fairfield Driver Charged With DUI In Wilton

WILTON, Conn. -- A New Fairfield woman found asleep behind the wheel of her car at a gas station on Dec. 12 has been charged by Wilton Police with diving under the influence , according to the Wilton Bulletin.

Police said they were responding to a report of a 2014 Ford Edge driving erratically on Danbury Road, when they found Jenna Sommo, 28, at the Mobil station near West Church Street, asleep behind the wheel with the car still running, reported the newspaper.

Somme failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. She was charged with DUI, operating a motor vehicle with suspended license, and failure to return that license. She was released and was scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Tuesday.
