On Friday, Dec. 4, a little after midnight, police responded to a report of a possible domestic violence incident at a Seaside Avenue residence in Milford.

Adam Litzie, 36, of Stratford, was arrested and charged with

  • Assault, third-degree;
  • Disorderly conduct;
  • Criminal mischief, third-degree;
  • Criminal trespass;
  • Interfering with an emergency call;
  • Unlawful restraint;
  • Strangulation, second-degree;
  • Sexual assault, third-degree, police said.

Following an investigation, Milford Police allege Litzie pushed a woman into a refrigerator and cabinets, pulled her by the hair, and broke items around the house. When the woman said she was going to call 911, Litzie allegedly took the victim's cell phone and home phone away.

Litzie is accused of then holding the woman down by her neck and sexually assaulting her, police said.

After being held for several hours, Litzie “passed out” and the victim was able to call 911, police said.

Litzie is being held on a $100,000 bond.
