Man Charged With Attempted Car Break-In, Cops Say

WILTON, Conn. – A North Carolina man accused of trying to break into a woman’s car outside of a church is facing charges from Wilton police.

Angelo Younger, 47, of Grifton, N.C., is charged with third-degree attempted burglary, a felony, sixth-degree attempted larceny and second-degree criminal trespass, both misdemeanors.

A nun at School Sisters of Notre Dame saw Younger at about 11:55 a.m. Friday trying to reach into and unlock the door of a car parked outside of the School Sisters building on Belden Hill Road, police said. The nun confronted Younger and then contacted officers, police said. Younger said he was at the church to meet with one of the residents, but the resident said she had never seen him before, police said.

Younger was released on $2,500 bond and appeared Friday in Norwalk Superior Court.
