WILTON, Conn. — A 46-year-old Waterbury man is accused of failing to complete home improvements he was paid to perform at a Wilton home, police said.
Steven Docchio was hired by an Evans Lane homeowner last September to install a salt generator on a swimming pool, tile a kitchen floor and repair a ceiling, police said.
Docchio, who reportedly does not have a home improvements license, never started the work and did not cancel the job or return the funds, according to the police report. He was charged last week with third-degree larceny, a felony.
He was also charged with offering home improvements without a license, not issuing a notice of cancellation and failure to pay a refund, all misdemeanors.
Docchio, who is currently incarcerated on unrelated charges, is scheduled to appear at Norwalk Superior Court on March 21.
