Man Accused Of Taking Ex-Girlfriend's Car

WILTON, Conn. – A New Milford man accused of taking his ex-girlfriend’s car after an argument is facing charges from Wilton Police.

David Waller, 32, of Sherry Lane Extension, New Milford, was charged last Wednesday with second-degree threatening and use of a motor vehicle without permission, both misdemeanors.  Police responded to a domestic incident at a home on Old Belden Hill Road. Police said Waller was told by his ex-girlfriend to leave a vehicle that did not belong to him at the Wilton residence. Police said Waller left the home with the vehicle, driving over grass, around the home and back onto the roadway. Police said Waller called the home and said he would return with a bat and harm animals there. Waller was arrested at about 10:16 a.m. last Wednesday

Waller was released on $1,000 bond. According to state court records, he is scheduled to appear on Sept. 26 in Norwalk Superior Court.

The following incidents were also reported to Wilton Police:

Cash theft at the YMCA: Police are investigating the theft of $200 from a locker inside the Wilton YMCA reported at about 4:55 p.m. last Friday. Police said a YMCA patron secured his backpack in a locker in the men’s locker room. Police said someone managed to remove the backpack from a locker and stole the money from a backpack pocket.

Theft of an iPad: Police are investigating who stole an iPad tablet computer on Sunday from the Georgetown Mobil station on Danbury Road. Police said the white iPad, valued at $699, belonged to an employee and was stolen from the store.
