The fourth and final suspect wanted in a jewelry heist has been arrested by Wilton Police.

Jorge Miranda, 39, of Astoria, was arrested on Monday, Aug. 5, at Green Haven Correctional in New York, for his part in the 2017 heist at an area jewelry store, said the Wilton Police.

Miranda, who had just finished serving another sentence was extradited back to Wilton to face larceny charges for the alleged theft of more than $17,000 in jewels from Campus Jewelers in Wilton Center.

The heist took place around 2:30 p.m., Oct. 18, 2017, when three women distracted two salespersons by having them show merchandise, while Miranda allegedly stole jewelry from behind the counter and put it in a brown paper shopping bag that he was carrying. The suspects then purchased an item before leaving the store.

Miranda posted a $100,000 surety bond and is scheduled to appear in court on August 15
