The car rolled over on a sharp curve on Bethel's Taylor Avenue, a Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company Facebook page noted.
"The single occupant was removed through the rear hatch in short order," the post noted, and she was transported to Danbury Hospital.
Bethel Fire Chief Scott Murphy was the first on scene. He told Daily Voice that the woman was perhaps in her early '30s.
"She was alert, conscious, had minor injuries," Murphy said -- and yes, she had been wearing a seatbelt.
He noted that Taylor Avenue is "an old, windy town road," and they see perhaps two or three accidents a year there.
When the woman's car rolled, it landed on the driver's side and was unstable. The first responders secured the car and extricated her, Murphy said.
"I'm fortunate to be the chief of a great crew," he added. "The guys are really good at what they do. We are constantly training and learning new things. Comes in handy."
Murphy said it's typical for both Bethel and Stony Hill to respond, since you're never entirely sure what you'll find, on-scene.
"Both trucks carry a full complement of extrication equipment," he said. "We could cut a car up, if we had to, in short order."
