Police say the driver, identified as 55-year-old Stephen Masciotti, allegedly gave several indications that he was under the influence.

Masciotti was asked to participate in a series of field sobriety tests, which police say he did not pass.

Masciotti was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs
  • Failure to carry registration/insurance card
  • Failure to carry operator license
  • Failure to drive in proper lane

Police say Masciotti submitted to a breath test, which showed that his BAC was .1123. He was released after posting $260 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Monday, March 11.
