A man from Ridgefield is facing DUI charges after failing to stay in the proper lane in Wilton, police say.
Wilton Police stopped a 2014 Nissan Murano for allegedly failing to maintain the proper lane near the intersection of Danbury Road and School Street on Friday, March 1 around 2 a.m.
Police say the driver, identified as 55-year-old Stephen Masciotti, allegedly gave several indications that he was under the influence.
Masciotti was asked to participate in a series of field sobriety tests, which police say he did not pass.
Masciotti was arrested and charged with the following:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs
- Failure to carry registration/insurance card
- Failure to carry operator license
- Failure to drive in proper lane
Police say Masciotti submitted to a breath test, which showed that his BAC was .1123. He was released after posting $260 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Monday, March 11.
