A 27-year-old area man was busted for allegedly driving drunk after being spotted by a resident driving erratically.
Michael Norrholm, of Norwalk, was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 2 after Wilton Police received a report from a resident of a 2013 white Ford Focus driving erratically northbound on Belden Hill Road, said Wilton Police.
Once stopped, officers found Norrholm smelled of alcohol and was given a series of field sobriety tests, which he failed to perform to standard, police said.
He was arrested for DUI and transported to the Wilton Police Department for processing. During processing, Norrholm refused to submit to a breath test to determine his blood alcohol level, police added. Police also found that Norrholm was wanted on an active warrant in Norwalk for a domestic-related charge.
He was charged with DUI/second offense, failure to drive in a proper lane, failure to maintain lane, driving with a suspended license and failure to return license following suspension.
