WILTON, Conn. – The theft of more than $10,000 in copper wiring from a Wilton business is being investigated by Wilton police.
Ten spools of twisted pump wire were taken from John Findorak and Sons' well-drilling and pump systems facility on Godfrey Place, apparently between 3:30 p.m. Jan. 11 and noon Jan. 12. The spools weigh about 200 pounds each and were chained together to prevent theft, but the chains were cut.
Police were already investigating the theft of $1,500 in pump wire from Findorak a week earlier.
