WILTON, Conn. Sister May T. McCormack of the School Sisters of Notre Dame in Wilton died Sunday, Oct. 14, at Lourdes Health Center. She was 92.
Born Oct. 23, 1919, in Lynn, Mass., McCormack entered the order 1937. For years, she was known as Sister M. Labertine. Sr. McCormack was a grammar and middle school teacher, as well as an administrator during her 60 plus years as a nun.
She taught at Holy Trinity in Rochester, N.Y., St. Saviour in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Roxbury, Mass., before moving to Wilton in 2002.
McCormack is survived by a sister, Sister Marie Eleana, SSND of Wilton.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday at the SSND Villa Chapel in Wilton. The Bracken-Donovan-Spodnick Funeral Home in Bridgeport handled arrangements.
