Mount Vernon's JoAnna Hood, 65, Was Beloved Mother, Sister, Aunt, And Friend

JoAnna (Laporta) Hood, 65, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, March 29, 2022. JoAnna was born January 6, 1957, in Mt. Vernon to Joseph and Raffaelina Laporta.

She never missed the opportunity to smile, dance, or sing; especially "Happy Birthday." Above all else she loved her children, her dog, and coffee... in that order. She was the most loving and loyal mother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Survived by her three children, Mary Catherine Hood, Christopher Hood, and Alexandra (Hood) Vicchio; her four siblings Maria Abatecola, Catherine Sorrell, Joseph Laporta, and John Laporta; her mother Raffaelina Laporta and her grandbaby Cassian Vicchio.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home at 418 S. State Street in Clarks Summit, PA.
