WILTON, Conn. - Donald "Don" Crocket of Wilton died May 6. He was 80.
Crocket was born Nov. 17, 1932, in Cranford, N.J., son of Roderick Crocket and Susan (Mathieson) Crocket. He was raised in Hartford, graduating from Hartford High School and UCONN. He served in U.S. Army Intelligence during the Korean War.
Crocket began his career at Pratt & Whitney and went on to follow his entrepreneurship spirit in many business endeavors.
Crocket is survived by his wife, Janet Lee Crocket; son, Samuel Crocket (Jennifer) of Oregon; step-daughter, Jennifer Carozza (Gregory) of Fairfield; three grandchildren; brother, David of Bethlehem, Pa.; many nieces and nephews; and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; sons, John and Peter Crocket; and seven of his brothers and sisters.
Calling hours are Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Norwalk’s Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street in Norwalk. A prayer service will take place at 11 a.m. with Rev. Karen Judd officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
