Wilton Will Have Full Power by Saturday: Brennan

WILTON, Conn. – Connecticut Light & Power is expecting to have power fully restored in Wilton by the end of Saturday, Nov. 5, First Selectman Bill Brennan announced in a townwide phone call Tuesday morning.

Five utility crews and four tree crews will be working to meet that goal, according to the “robo-call” from Brennan.

As of 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, the power company estimated 55 percent of the Wilton's homes still did not have power.

The priority will be the two schools without power, Cider Mill Elementary and Middlebrook Middle, as well as the Route 106 main circuit.

Wilton Police Lt. Donald Wakeman said about 80 roads in town were still affected by downed trees that were obstructing the roadways.
