WILTON, Conn. First Selectman Bill Brennan and other town officials are hoping the towns annual Fourth of July celebration wont be rained out.
Stay tuned and say a few prayers, Brennan said during Mondays Board of Selectmen meeting.
The town is monitoring the weather, which could affect the towns Independence Day festivities at the Wilton Athletic Complex. Recent forecasts have thunderstorms coming to Wilton during the day Wednesday.
The Fourth of July festivities, hosted by the Wilton Parks and Recreation Department, include a 5K race, a softball game between Wilton Democrats and Republicans and fireworks. Festivities are slated to begin at 8:30 a.m.
