WILTON, Conn. A new flag will be raised at Wilton Town Hall next Tuesday in recognition of April as National Donate Life Month.
At 11 a.m. April 17, the Donation Saves Lives flag will be raised as a part of a national initiative to honor the donors and recipients whose lives have been affected by organ and tissue donation.
With more than 113,000 people in the country waiting for transplants including 1,240 in Connecticut becoming a donor has become more important than ever, a statement said.
Becoming a donor is one of the most generous decisions a person can make to help others, said Wilton First Selectman Bill Brennan.
