WILTON, Conn. Wilton will hold a Special Town Meeting on Thursday, Dec. 1, to discuss the lease for Wilton Commons.
The meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. in Middlebrook Middle School. Topics include extending Wilton Commons' lease on Station Road for six months and amending the lease to comply with federal, state and private financing requirements.
After the meeting the town will vote on the project to provide affordable senior living facilities. Fifty residents must be present in order for there to be a vote.
This is a very important project for Wilton, First Selectman Bill Brennan said. I encourage citizens to come out and vote for this project, which has been a long time in the making.
Information on the lease and financing requirements is available on the main page of the town's website.
In case of bad weather, the meeting will be postponed until Dec. 6.
