WILTON, Conn. Beer cans and about 20 children in a home while parents were away have prompted an investigation by Wilton police officers.
After a complaint of a loud party, police responded at about 10:50 p.m. Saturday to a Wild Duck Road residence. Police said they found about 20 children, each about 16 years old, inside the home. Beer cans were visible in the house. Police said no parents were home at the time.
It started out as a small gathering, but more people showed up than had originally been invited, police said. The childs parents were notified. No arrests have been made, police said.

About 150 silverware serving pieces worth $20,000 were reported stolen by the residents of a Boas Lane home last Saturday. Police said the pieces were last seen in August. Police are speaking with people who work in the home as part of the investigation.
Yuriy Strylchuk, 28, of Stamford, was charged Sunday with driving under the influence and driving without insurance. Strylchuk was seen at about 3 a.m. on Route 7 and was noticed trying to log something into a GPS device, police said. He told an officer that he had had a few beers, police said. Strylchuk is scheduled to appear May 10 in Norwalk Superior Court.
