Wilton Police Charge Norwalk Man in Road Rage

WILTON, Conn. – Norwalk resident Frank Gasparini, 51, was charged with a misdemeanor in a road-rage incident after a Wilton police sergeant saw glass on the ground between two vehicles stopped on Route 7.

Sgt. Robert Cipola reported seeing two cars blocking northbound traffic on Route 7, and Gasparini gesturing wildly at the driver of the second car. Cipola said that when he approached the vehicles, he saw broken glass on the ground between the cars and the passenger-side window broken on one car.

The report said Gasparini had punched through the window, grabbed the other driver and struck the victim’s chest.

No injuries were reported, however. Gasparini was given a court date of March 19.

• After a resident turned in a wallet found on the ground, police discovered the wallet held three Connecticut driver’s licenses – all with the same name. Police determined that two of the identifications were false and charged a 17-year-old boy from Wilton with third-degree forgery, a misdemeanor. He is due in court March 28.

• Orange resident David Mondin, 25, was charged by Wilton police with speeding, driving under the influence, failure to carry a license and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police reported stopping Mondin on Route 7 for speeding and determined that he was under the influence. He is due in court March 19.

• Sean Fredricks, 35, of Manhattan was stopped on Route 7 for speeding, police reported, and had been drinking before driving. Police said he was unable to perform a field sobriety test. He was released on $500 bond and is due in court March 22 in Norwalk.
